Give editors a complete publishing workflow
Site editors can prepare and publish pages and blog articles, work with media and preview the content on their assigned sites. They can handle the publishing work they are responsible for without taking on administration of the wider organization.
Match access to the brand team
A site administrator adds control over the site's name and branding. For a business operating several websites, assignments can reflect which brands each person manages. An editor working on one publication does not need the same workspace as an administrator responsible for the whole organization.
Make handoffs easier to define
These roles give managed-site teams a practical way to divide ongoing work: an editor can maintain content, a site administrator can look after the brand presentation, and organization administrators can retain broader operational responsibilities.
